Effective Friday, Friday April 26th the playgrounds at both Allyn Brook Park and Durham Community Center will begin renovation.
Phase One- is located at 114 Picket Lane will begin with the playground located across from the Community Center. The playground is planned to be closed for one week barring weather or any unforeseen circumstances. However, Allyn Brook will be open to the Public during this time.
Phase Two- Allyn Brook Park playground will begin after the completion of Phase One. They will start installation of some new equipment and relocation of equipment from areas that continue to experience poor drainage and standing water. The Allyn Brook playground will be closed for use during this time. The new playground at Community Center will be open to the public during Phase 2.
These renovations were made possible by ARPA funds that were allocated to the Recreation Department to upgrade old equipment that have seen its lifespan. The company performing the work is Childscapes and their current schedule will be Monday-Friday (7AM -5 PM).
